Leadership Day. Each member school selects a small group (5-12) of student leaders to participate in a day of learning and activities about leadership. Each school provides resources to lead small groups of student leaders in these activities. This day is held on a yearly rotational basis between Launceston and Hobart schools. 2010 @ The Friends School, 2011 @ Scotch Oakburn College, 2012 @ The Hutchins School. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to engage and build relationship with each other knowing they will cross paths with in future years.
Biennial Vic, SA, Tas Seminar. On odd years these three state branches use the opportunity to embrace collegial support in sharing together.
Biennial Tasmanian Leadership Retreat. On even years the Tasmanian Branch members and their deputies attend a retreat to be challenged in an area that extends its influence more broadly across schools. Deputies are encouraged to join in this collegial pursuit to strengthen our relationships and understanding of our roles and responsibilities, equipping us to serve more effectively. Previous retreats have considered Growth Coaching – Carey McIvor.
2012 possibilities include: Personalised learning; the curriculum of giving; Policy, Practice, Partnerships & Playgrounds.
